Ripcord is generally placed inside the PE jacket and is
used for tearing of PE jacket and in some cases even steel armor.
ADORN’s non wicking material coating improves snag resistance
during cable processing and improves ADORN’s durability when
tearing through jackets.
ADORN is manufactured from continuous polyester filament yarn
which are twisted and coated with non wicking material.
These Ripcords are available in natural or colour or combination of both.
Coloured Ripcord may be used to distinguish it from other materials or
for manufactures identification purpose.
Ripcord based on combination of Aramid and polyester yarn for the
higher tensile strength can be supplied on request
ADORN, is also available in water swellable option known as
ADORN WS which is useful to prevent water penetration through
cable.

Tinsel wire is a form of electrical wire used when maximum mechanical
flexibility is desired. It is commonly found in cords used for telephones
cables as, Line Cords, Straight Cords, Extension Cords, Coil Cord, Curl Cord,
Coiled Cord, especially the handset cords. Because of its extreme flexibility,
it is very resistant to failing as a result of metal fatigue. In this way it is
different than ordinary stranded wire or, especially, solid wire.
Tinsel wire is made by wrapping several strands of
thin copper and cadmium
copper foil around a textile core. Because the foil is very thin,
it is extremely flexible. Crimped connections are commonly used.
Usually, the connector has a series of barbs that pierce the insulation that covers
the tinsel wire, allowing the connection to be made without any need to
strip the insulation for the conductor.
The various types of tinsel used are:

Glass Roving is manufactured using E-glass fiber with proprietary PU resin systems to produce an innovative, value added reinforcement solution with high degree of softness and strength.
It has a special smooth, flexible coating which improves handling and eliminates dust and loose fiber generation during cable production, even at very high speeds, leading to high productivity and ultimate cable strength.
The soft fiber spread evenly on the cable core minimizes thickness build-up. It comes in variety of coatings, offering good adhesion to materials like PE, PVC, etc. It is available in long continuous lengths for enhanced productivity. It has a very high strength to weight ratio resulting in light weight cable with utmost ease of handling. It is available in long continuous lengths with tex (gm/Km) ranging from 600 tex to 2400.
Glass Roving is a very high strength coated glass roving for optical fiber and copper cables. It is most suited for uni-tube, loose tube & slotted core cables & typically used as peripheral reinforcement in fiber optic cables along with FRP Rod & Semi-Rigid FRP Rods. It is introduced over the loose tube and the cable manufactured with it would be lower in diameter, lighter in weight with high degree of flexibility, excellent tensile strength & modulus performance.

ADORN's Binder Yarn is a Low Shrinkage Polyester Binder yarn coated with non-wicking material, hence preventing capillary effect. ADORN WS is Water Swellable version of binder yarn used to prevent water penetration in the cable. Both are applied contra-helically with sufficient tension to secure each buffer tube layer to the central member without crushing the buffer tube. However, ADORN WS offers added protection against water penetration in the cable.
- Binder yarn with non-wicking properties.
- Cost-effective water swellable product especially for dry cables.
- Precisely wound packages with variety of packaging options.
- Available in various colours for identification purpose.
- Environment friendly products.
